135/3.5 Nippon Kogaku Nikkor for
Exakta

Nippon Kogaku was marketing their Nikon rangefinder system, and not competing
directly with Ihagee. As they were an optical house first, the marketed most of
their lenses in Leica thread mount and Contax mount, as well as their own
bayonet (which were interchangeable with Contax, but had a focusing error on the
telephotos).
They decided to market their lenses in Exakta mount. But because of the long
film to mount distance on the Exakta, only the 135 was practical. At least one
example of a 135/4 in Exakta mount is known (this is an earlier version of the
135, produced before the 135/3.5). These lenses are not very common.
